In some states, consumers choose older used cars over younger, used models, and some buy more used cars than others.

A new ValuePenguin study shows that used car sales are rising everywhere. However, Idaho and South Dakota buy the oldest used cars, with an average of 7.98 years. This is closely followed by Wyoming residents, who have purchased used cars that are approximately 7.71 years old.
